ZSL London Zoo: Boo at the Zoo
Get set for a host of gruesome goings on at ZSL London Zoo this Halloween half term.
From Saturday 27 to Sunday 4 November, the Zoo will come creeping to life with a Halloween-themed spooky schedule of special events.
Grim keepers and ghostly stories, creepy crafts and encounters with owls, trick or treat animal feeds and the amazing story of A Frog’s Life (at our new amphibian exhibition).
Our children’s zoos Animal Adventure will be getting a macabre makeover as it hosts lots of Halloween family fun including frightening face painting, menacing mask-making and other devilish delights such as terrifying touch tables and eerie enrichment-making workshops.
Visitors can also enjoy special Halloween versions of our popular animal talks, feeds and demonstrations.
There’s so much to do at ZSL London Zoo this October Half-Term, it’s scary!
Don’t miss London’s coolest live show, Penguin Beach Live! which gets you closer to the action than ever before. You can watch Ricky the Rockhopper and his friends show off their impressive diving skills during the daily feed, as they leap to fetch their fishy meals! Plus find out more information about our penguins and the care they receive from our experienced keepers. And don’t forget to visit our research station to learn out more about the future of penguins and the challenges they face to survive!

But there is more in store!
Come face to face with a whole host of animals at the Amphitheatre with our Animal in Action display. Prepare to be thoroughly entertained as they show off their flying, leaping and climbing skills. Then, make your way down to the display lawn to catch a glimpse of some amazing birds in flight. Hunters and scavengers demonstrate their skills at finding and catching food in our free-flying display
See animals in a different light at Rainforest Life. Enter London’s only living rainforest with a lush vegetation and warm tropical mist and go on a journey high into the treetops to meet a variety of amazing rainforest species including marmosets and tamarins, sloths and a tamandua.
With Gorilla Kingdom, the serenity of the African forest arrived to the urban jungle. If you are feeling adventurous take the gorilla tracking trail and wind your way around the African forest environment. You will get breathtakingly close to our colony of western lowland gorillas!
