Magic’s Angie Greaves on her trip to Chessington World of Adventures.
Magic’s Angie Greaves tells us about her recent trip to Chessington World of Adventures...
“1pm Saturday 10th September, my show is over and I make my way to Chessington World of Adventures where my girls have been since 10:30 that morning with Mr. G. As I approach the entrance I’m sure I can hear them screaming!!!
“They’ve been booked on the Wanyama Safari Tour for 2.30pm, so we head to the Safari Hut, are welcomed by two members of Chessington staff, only to find that the jeep can only accommodate an additional two passengers. This really wasn’t a problem at all; the tour is 30 minutes in length so it gave Mr. G and I the opportunity to have some lunch. So off the girls go on tour and we make our way Zafari, the restaurant located by The Wanyama Reserve.
“There’s a broad selection of lunches on offer, very tempting pastas, salads, chicken wings etc. etc., you could even have some authentic Joloff Rice or try Windhoek which is African beer.
“Fast forward 40 minutes and we hear all about getting up close to zebras, ostriches, and a horned oryx which is apparently extinct. The meerkats were also popular as were the porcupines.
“As well as being an educational venue, Chessington is also about having fun, and fun we had when we went on the Dragon Falls (and got slightly wet), Tomb Blaster was another great ride, as were Bubble Works and Vampire. Queues are long, this is an extremely popular venue, however, there are opportunities to purchase Fast Track vouchers so you don’t spend too much time queuing.
“Chessington World of Adventures has something for everyone and is a lovely day out for friends and family.”
