I don’t think a day passes on Magic 105.4fm without hearing a Shania Twain song, and I know that Mellow Magic Love Letters wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t at least have a request for “You’re Still The One”.

So Shania Twain has written a book. My first thoughts for a celebrity autobiography would be growing up, that first break, maybe a sob story to get your sympathy and then the big time. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Eilleen Regina Edwards aka Shania Twain grew up in Ontario, Canada. Not much of a home life, in fact it was an extremely violent home life. She witnessed a tumultuous relationship between her mother and step father, who unfortunately died together in a car crash. Whilst healing from the pain she had siblings that needed looking after, so she used her singing talent to create an income for them. What followed was global stardom - but she wasn’t ready for it, and it completely turned her life around!!

Friendship betrayal, marriage infidelity, the pressures of public superstardom whilst balancing motherhood, amongst many other life stories are detailed in this book.
