What is your favourite view around London?
I'm not great with heights but myself and my family decided to climb the stairs to the top of the Monument a couple of months ago and the view was absolutely incredible. I'm fascinated by local history and this was where the Great Fire of London started on Pudding Lane so it was very educational aswell. I really recommend it as an alternative view of London.
What do you love about London?
The parks.. from Richmond Park to Hyde Park, Hampstead Heath to Regents Park, Trent Park to Battersea Park - so much choice especially because I like running - such beautiful scenery. I also love the buildings and the historic areas like Smithfield and the City of London. Most of all I love the energy - there's always so much to see and do.
What is your favourite London show?
Oliver. I am a huge fan of the film and I think the music is fantastic. So I was really looking forward to seeing Gryff Rhys Jones as Fagin. I was so impressed with the whole production and in particular the set. I really felt as though I was there! Plus the choreography and the singing were so uplifting. A spectacular night out.
Where is best to take your kids around London?
My family love The Southbank. We love to be by the river just to look at the view of the London Eye, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and watching the boats go by. But also the Royal Festival Hall, the IMAX, the Hayward Gallery and the National Theatre, so many fantastic things to see and do.
What has been your favourite London gig?
Take That. I saw Take That at Earls Court and at Wembley Arena. So I saw them with Robbie and then without Robbie and both times they were absolutely amazing. I love the music and on both occasions it was an awesome show. I'm just hoping to see them this year now the five are back together again.
Which song wakes you up in the morning?
Kate Bush / Running Up That Hill. I have always loved Kate Bush from Wuthering Heights to Aeriel. She is so original and has a stunning voice. This is a very uplifting song with great harmonies and makes me want to get up and go. I am really looking forward to hearing her new material.
What is your favourite song?
Chaka Khan / I Feel For You This reminds me of the 80's, a decade with such brilliant music. I also loved Ain't Nobody but this was my favourite and I used to have her album (on vinyl!) and played it all the time (on a record player!)
Who is your all time music legend?
Elton John. I grew up listening to Elton John. He has a wonderful voice and writes such beautiful songs. Elton was also the first ever concert I went to which was at the Hammersmith Odeon and I loved it.
What is your favourite book?
Driving Over Lemons / Chris Stewart. I love going to Spain. It is one of my favourite countries and at the moment I am having Spanish lessons. I read this book when it came out over ten years ago about a man and his family who decide to leave the UK and go and live on a remote mountain farm in Andalucia. It's extremely entertaining as we follow his journey through the hills of Las Alpujarras and experience the ups and downs of moving abroad.
What is your favourite film?
When I was at college part of my course included film studies which involved watching a lot of films! and of all the films I saw this was my ultimate favourite. Cinema Paradiso
Cat or Dog?
Cat. I grew up with cats. I like the fact that they are quite independent but can also be quite characterful.
What is your most embarrassing moment on air?
Accidentally getting locked out of the studio was quite nerve-racking! And could have been extremely embarrassing... thankfully I got back in on time.
